Open the door to new marketing, sales and operations opportunities with Delacon’s Caller ID solution
Delacon has rolled out an exciting new feature that will assist businesses with obtaining their customers’ numbers in countries where this service is unavailable due to restrictions.
Businesses in countries such as India, Singapore, Japan, UK and many others are not able to pass the original caller ID to the termination point.
Delacon has developed a solution where we can assist businesses to obtain the caller ID by sending out the original caller ID to the end termination number in the form of DTMF tones (the tones generated from a telephone when the numbers are pressed).
As soon as a call is answered, Delacon will send out a series of DTMF tones (corresponding to the original caller number) to the device answering the call (which will in most instances be a PBX phone system). When the DTMF tones are received, the client’s PBX phone system will need to decode and process the tones to display on the agent phone.
This solution requires the client’s PBX phone system to have the ability to decode and process the DTMF tones sent by Delacon for the original caller ID.
Another way the caller ID can be obtained in areas where this is restricted is through the rolling numbers caller ID feature.
